Bat KinaneBefore the Whole Hog Bat Kinane was a guitarist and songwriter in highly acclaimed Irish rock band Glyder. Glyder toured Europe many times and opened for top international acts like Metallica, Thin Lizzy and Slash. During some off time from Glyder, Bat continued to pursue his passion for creating music - The end result is an eclectic album of rock, folk and blues called "A lifetime to Kill" with some great guest musicians including Rob Strong, Dave Roe (Johnny Cash/Kris Kristofferson), and Pat Mc Manus (Ex Mamas Boys). John Creedon RTE1 brought the album to the attention of the Irish nation through his radio show by giving the album regular airplay.

Bat has years of gigging experience and is an accomplished guitarist and singer. He has played with many bands over the years and filled in from time to time with The Rob Strong band as well as a guest player with The Pat McManus band. Bat recorded an album of original music with The Whole Hog Band which won best debut album at the Leinster Entertainment Awards 2014. It can be bought on itunes, amazon, Spotify etc. He now is a core member of The Whole Hog.

Cathy McEvoy - Fiddle and Vocals:

Cathy McEvoyCathy is a full-time musician, arranger and composer and has been playing fiddle since the age of seven. She holds a Music degree (honours) from Trinity College, Dublin, and a Masters in Composition from N.U.I. Maynooth.

She is musical director of both The Gospel Project and Ballymun Gospel Choir, and has also directed choirs as diverse as the Forever Young Chorus (Finglas), The Lambay Singers, The Rathgar Gospel Choir and Gardiner Street Gospel Choir.

Well-know artists with whom she has performed include the Manic Street Preachers, Mary Coughlan, Bill Whelan, Eleanor McEvoy and Ronan Hardiman (Lord of the Dance).

Bat and Cathy and joined by a bass player and drummer for most gigs but can work as a duo to a five piece full party band.
